मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-34, verse-6

मदालसोवाच ।
गृहस्थेन सदा कार्यमाचारपरिपालनम् ।
न ह्याचारविहीनस्य सुखमत्र परत्र वा ॥६॥

gṛhasthena sadā kāryamācāraparipālanam .
na hyācāravihīnasya sukhamatra paratra vā.
6. madālasā uvāca gṛhasthena sadā kāryam ācāraparipālanam
na hi ācāravihīnasya sukham atra paratra vā
6. Madālasā said: A householder should always observe good conduct (dharma). For, there is no happiness for one devoid of good conduct (dharma), either in this world or the next.
