सार्धं न बलिभिः कुर्यान्न च न्यूनैर्न निन्दितैः ।
न सर्वशङ्किभिर्नित्यं न च दैवपरैर्नरैः ॥८९॥

89. sārdhaṃ na balibhiḥ kuryānna ca nyūnairna ninditaiḥ .
na sarvaśaṅkibhirnityaṃ na ca daivaparairnaraiḥ.

One should not associate with the powerful, nor with the weak, nor with the censured. One should not constantly associate with those who suspect everyone, nor with men excessively devoted to fate.
