मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-34, verse-73

स्वप्नाध्ययनभोज्यानि सन्ध्ययोश्च विवर्जयेत् ।
सन्ध्यायां मैथुनञ्चापि तथा प्रस्थानमेव च ॥७३॥
73. svapnādhyayanabhojyāni sandhyayośca vivarjayet .
sandhyāyāṃ maithunañcāpi tathā prasthānameva ca.
73. svapnādhyayanabhojyāni sandhyayoḥ ca vivarjayet
sandhyāyāṃ maithunaṃ ca api tathā prasthānam eva ca
73. One should avoid sleeping, studying, and eating during the two twilight periods (sandhyās). Furthermore, during twilight (sandhyā), one should similarly avoid sexual intercourse and commencing a journey.
