87. noddhūtonmattamūḍhaiśca nāvinītaiśca paṇḍitaḥ .

87.
A wise person (paṇḍita) should not cultivate friendship with those who are arrogant, insane, or foolish, nor with the undisciplined, nor with those of bad character, nor with those tainted by theft and similar vices.
