मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-34, verse-36

शिरः स्त्रातश्च तैलेन नाङ्गं किञ्चिदपि स्पृशेत् ।
अनध्यायेषु सर्वेषु स्वाध्यायञ्च विवर्जयेत् ॥३६॥
36. śiraḥ strātaśca tailena nāṅgaṃ kiñcidapi spṛśet .
anadhyāyeṣu sarveṣu svādhyāyañca vivarjayet.
36. śiraḥsnātaḥ ca tailena na aṅgam kiñcit api spṛśet
anadhyāyeṣu sarveṣu svādhyāyam ca vivarjayet
36. And one who has bathed the head with oil should not touch any part of the body. In all non-study periods, one should avoid self-study (svādhyāya).
