मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-34, verse-20

सायं प्रापतस्तथा होमं कुर्वोत नियतात्मवान् ।
नोदयास्तमने बिम्बमुदीक्षेत विवस्वतः ॥२०॥
20. sāyaṃ prāpatastathā homaṃ kurvota niyatātmavān .
nodayāstamane bimbamudīkṣeta vivasvataḥ.
20. sāyam prātaḥ atha āhomam kurvīta niyatātmavān
na udayāstamayane bimbam udīkṣeta vivasvataḥ
20. In the evening and morning, one who has a disciplined self (ātman) should perform the fire ritual. One should not gaze at the disk of the sun (Vivasvān) at its rising or setting.
