दुराचारो हि पुरुषो नेहायुर्विन्दते महत् ।
कार्यो यत्नः सदाचारे आचारो हन्त्यलक्षणम् ॥८॥

Indeed, a person (puruṣa) of bad conduct does not attain a long life in this world. Therefore, effort should be made in good conduct (dharma), for good conduct (dharma) destroys inauspicious signs.
