मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-34, verse-46

दम्भाभिमानतीक्ष्णानि न कुर्वोत विचक्षणः ।
मूर्खोन्मत्तव्यसनिनो विरूपान्मायिनस्तथा ॥४६॥

46. A discerning person should not cultivate hypocrisy, pride, or harshness. They should also avoid fools, madmen, addicted individuals, the deformed, and the deceitful.
