कुर्वोतालम्बनं चापि दक्षिणश्रवणस्य वै ।
यथाविभवतो ह्येतत् पूर्वाभावे ततः परम् ॥७१॥

71. kurvotālambanaṃ cāpi dakṣiṇaśravaṇasya vai .

Or, one should also touch one's right ear. Indeed, this should be done according to one's means; if the previously mentioned options are unavailable, then this is the subsequent (alternative).
