मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-23, verse-48

जड उवाच ।
एवं स्तुता तदा देवी विष्णोर्जिह्वा सरस्वती ।
प्रत्युवाच महात्मानं नागमश्वतरं ततः ॥४८॥
48. jaḍa uvāca .
evaṃ stutā tadā devī viṣṇorjihvā sarasvatī .
pratyuvāca mahātmānaṃ nāgamaśvataraṃ tataḥ.
48. jaḍa uvāca evam stutā tadā devī viṣṇoḥ jihvā
sarasvatī prati uvāca mahātmānam nāgam aśvataram tataḥ
48. Jaḍa said: Thus praised, the goddess Sarasvatī, who is Viṣṇu's tongue, then replied to the great-souled Nāga Aśvatara.
