अथ शोकजडो दीनो स्त्रजा हीनो मलान्वितः ।
विपक्षस्य भविष्यामि ततः परिभवास्पदम् ॥१४॥

Otherwise, if I were to become dull due to sorrow, miserable, deprived of garlands, and covered in dirt, I would then become an object of contempt for my enemies.
