मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-23, verse-24

जड उवाच ।
इति वाक्यं तयोः श्रुत्वा विमर्शमगमत्पिता ।
विमृश्य चाह तौ पुत्रौ नागराट् प्रहसन्निव ॥२४॥
24. jaḍa uvāca .
iti vākyaṃ tayoḥ śrutvā vimarśamagamatpitā .
vimṛśya cāha tau putrau nāgarāṭ prahasanniva.
24. jaḍa uvāca iti vākyam tayoḥ śrutvā vimarśam agamat
pitā vimṛśya ca āha tau putrau nāgarāṭ prahasan iva
24. Jaḍa said: Having heard their words, the father began to reflect. After deliberating, the Naga king addressed his two sons, as if laughing.
