मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-23, verse-18

पुत्रावूचतुः ।
इति कृत्वा मतिं सोऽथ निष्पाद्योदकदानिकम् ।
क्रियाश्चानन्तरं कृत्वा प्रत्युवाच ऋतध्वजः ॥१८॥
18. putrāvūcatuḥ .
iti kṛtvā matiṃ so'tha niṣpādyodakadānikam .
kriyāścānantaraṃ kṛtvā pratyuvāca ṛtadhvajaḥ.
18. putrau ūcatuḥ iti kṛtvā matim saḥ atha niṣpādya udakadānikam
kriyāḥ ca anantaram kṛtvā pratyuvāca ṛtadhvajaḥ
18. The two sons said: Having thus made this decision, he then performed the water offering. And having completed the subsequent rites, Ṛtadhvaja replied.
