मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-23, verse-106

निहतामित्रवर्गश्च पित्रोः सुश्रूषणं कुरु ।
वत्स धन्यस्य कथ्यन्ते परोक्षस्यापि ते गुणाः ॥१०६॥
106. nihatāmitravargaśca pitroḥ suśrūṣaṇaṃ kuru .
vatsa dhanyasya kathyante parokṣasyāpi te guṇāḥ.
106. nihata-amitra-vargaḥ ca pitroḥ suśrūṣaṇam kuru |
vatsa dhanyasya kathyante parokṣasya api te guṇāḥ
106. And having vanquished your enemies, render devout service to your parents. O dear one, your virtues are spoken of even in your absence, like those of a blessed person.
