मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-23, verse-28

जड उवाच ।
एवमुक्त्वा स नागेन्द्रः प्लक्षावतरणं गिरेः ।
तीर्थं हिमवतो गत्वा तपस्तेपे सुदुश्चरम् ॥२८॥
28. jaḍa uvāca .
evamuktvā sa nāgendraḥ plakṣāvataraṇaṃ gireḥ .
tīrthaṃ himavato gatvā tapastepe suduścaram.
28. jaḍaḥ uvāca evam uktvā saḥ nāgendraḥ plakṣāvataraṇam
gireḥ tīrtham himavataḥ gatvā tapaḥ tepe suduścaram
28. Jaḍa said. Having thus spoken, that lord of serpents went to Plakṣāvataraṇa, a sacred bathing place (tīrtha) on the Himavat mountain, and performed extremely difficult asceticism (tapas).
