महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-50, verse-47

छिन्नदन्ताग्रहस्ताश्च भिन्नकुम्भास्तथापरे ।
वियोधाः स्वान्यनीकानि जघ्नुर्भारत वारणाः ।
निपेतुरुर्व्यां च तथा विनदन्तो महारवान् ॥४७॥
47. chinnadantāgrahastāśca bhinnakumbhāstathāpare ,
viyodhāḥ svānyanīkāni jaghnurbhārata vāraṇāḥ ,
nipetururvyāṁ ca tathā vinadanto mahāravān.

tathā apare viyodhāḥ svāni anīkāni

47. O descendant of Bharata, other elephants, with their tusks and trunks severed and their temples shattered, having lost their mahouts, attacked their own armies. They then fell to the earth, trumpeting with great roars.
