महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-50, verse-2

चरन्तं गदया वीरं दण्डपाणिमिवान्तकम् ।
योधयामास समरे कलिङ्गः सह सेनया ॥२॥
2. carantaṁ gadayā vīraṁ daṇḍapāṇimivāntakam ,
yodhayāmāsa samare kaliṅgaḥ saha senayā.
