महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-17, verse-83

एकच्छायमभूत्सर्वं तस्य बाणैर्महात्मनः ।
अभ्रच्छायेव संजज्ञे संपतद्भिः शरोत्तमैः ॥८३॥
83. ekacchāyamabhūtsarvaṁ tasya bāṇairmahātmanaḥ ,
abhracchāyeva saṁjajñe saṁpatadbhiḥ śarottamaiḥ.
83. ekacchāyam abhūt sarvam tasya bāṇaiḥ mahātmanaḥ
abhracchāyā iva sañjajñe saṃpatadbhiḥ śarottamaiḥ
83. mahātmanaḥ tasya bāṇaiḥ sarvam ekacchāyam abhūt.
saṃpatadbhiḥ śarottamaiḥ abhracchāyā iva sañjajñe.
83. The entire battlefield became a single shade from the arrows of that great-souled (mahātman) warrior (Karṇa). It was as if a cloud-shadow had been formed by his excellent, swiftly falling arrows.
