महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-17, verse-62

कर्णमभ्यर्दितं दृष्ट्वा पाण्डुपुत्रेण मारिष ।
विस्मयं परमं जग्मू रथिनः सह दैवतैः ॥६२॥
62. karṇamabhyarditaṁ dṛṣṭvā pāṇḍuputreṇa māriṣa ,
vismayaṁ paramaṁ jagmū rathinaḥ saha daivataiḥ.

62. O revered one, when the chariot-warriors, along with the gods, saw Karṇa afflicted by the son of Pāṇḍu, they were filled with supreme astonishment.
