महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-17, verse-102

तत्र तत्र च संभ्रान्ता विचेरुर्मत्तकुञ्जराः ।
दवाग्निना परीताङ्गा यथैव स्युर्महावने ॥१०२॥
102. tatra tatra ca saṁbhrāntā vicerurmattakuñjarāḥ ,
davāgninā parītāṅgā yathaiva syurmahāvane.

102. And here and there, maddened elephants, their bodies as if surrounded by a raging forest fire in a great wilderness, wandered about in confusion.
