महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-17, verse-80

ततः क्रुद्धो रणे कर्णः कृत्वा घोरतरं वपुः ।
पाण्डवं छादयामास समन्ताच्छरवृष्टिभिः ॥८०॥
80. tataḥ kruddho raṇe karṇaḥ kṛtvā ghorataraṁ vapuḥ ,
pāṇḍavaṁ chādayāmāsa samantāccharavṛṣṭibhiḥ.

80. Then Karna, enraged in battle, assumed a very dreadful form and overwhelmed the Pandava (Nakula) from all sides with showers of arrows.
