महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-17, verse-36

समार्गणगणं चापं छित्त्वा तस्य महानसिः ।
निपपात ततो भूमौ च्युतः सर्प इवाम्बरात् ॥३६॥
36. samārgaṇagaṇaṁ cāpaṁ chittvā tasya mahānasiḥ ,
nipapāta tato bhūmau cyutaḥ sarpa ivāmbarāt.

36. Having cut his bow along with its multitude of arrows, his great sword then fell to the ground, just like a snake fallen from the sky.
