महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-17, verse-78

नकुलेन शरा मुक्ताः कङ्कबर्हिणवाससः ।
ते तु कर्णमवच्छाद्य व्यतिष्ठन्त यथा परे ॥७८॥
78. nakulena śarā muktāḥ kaṅkabarhiṇavāsasaḥ ,
te tu karṇamavacchādya vyatiṣṭhanta yathā pare.

78. Arrows, decorated with vulture and peacock feathers, were released by Nakula. These, indeed, completely covered Karna and remained (stuck) there, just like other arrows (do).
