महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-17, verse-75

ते सेने वध्यमाने तु ताभ्यां दिव्यैर्महाशरैः ।
शरपातमपक्रम्य ततः प्रेक्षकवत्स्थिते ॥७५॥
75. te sene vadhyamāne tu tābhyāṁ divyairmahāśaraiḥ ,
śarapātamapakramya tataḥ prekṣakavatsthite.

śarapātam apakramya tataḥ prekṣakavat sthite

75. But those two armies (sene), being struck down by their divine great arrows, retreated from the range of arrows and then remained as if they were spectators.
