महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-17, verse-69

तैर्विमुक्तैः शरशतैश्छादितं गगनं तदा ।
शलभानां यथा व्रातैस्तद्वदासीत्समाकुलम् ॥६९॥
69. tairvimuktaiḥ śaraśataiśchāditaṁ gaganaṁ tadā ,
śalabhānāṁ yathā vrātaistadvadāsītsamākulam.
69. taiḥ vimuktaiḥ śara-śataiḥ chāditam gaganam tadā
śalabhānām yathā vrātaiḥ tadvat āsīt samākulam
69. tadā taiḥ vimuktaiḥ śara-śataiḥ chāditam gaganam,
yathā śalabhānām vrātaiḥ tadvat samākulam āsīt
69. At that time, the sky was completely covered by the hundreds of arrows released by them, just as it would be crowded and obscured by swarms of locusts.
