महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-220, verse-24

अनिश्चयो हि युद्धेषु द्वयोर्विवदमानयोः ।
एकः प्राप्नोति विजयमेकश्चैव पराभवम् ॥२४॥

24. aniścayo hi yuddheṣu dvayorvivadamānayoḥ ,
ekaḥ prāpnoti vijayamekaścaiva parābhavam.
