महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-51, verse-98

ते नित्यमुदिता जेतुं युद्धे शत्रूनरिंदमाः ।
न जात्वाधिरथेर्भीताः पाञ्चालाः स्युः पराङ्मुखाः ॥९८॥
98. te nityamuditā jetuṁ yuddhe śatrūnariṁdamāḥ ,
na jātvādhiratherbhītāḥ pāñcālāḥ syuḥ parāṅmukhāḥ.
98. te nityam uditāḥ jetum yuddhe śatrūn arindamāḥ na
jātu ādhīratheḥ bhītāḥ pāñcālāḥ syuḥ parāṅmukhāḥ
98. te arindamāḥ pāñcālāḥ nityam yuddhe śatrūn jetum uditāḥ,
(ataḥ) ādhīratheḥ bhītāḥ parāṅmukhāḥ jātu na syuḥ
98. Those Panchalas, always eager to conquer their enemies in battle and renowned as subduers of foes, would certainly never be afraid of Adhiratha's son (Karṇa) and turn away from battle.
