इदानीं पार्थ जानामि न वृद्धाः सेवितास्त्वया ।
अकाले पुरुषव्याघ्र संरम्भक्रिययानया ।
न हि धर्मविभागज्ञः कुर्यादेवं धनंजय ॥१४॥

na hi dharmavibhāgajñaḥ kuryādevaṁ dhanaṁjaya.

Kṛṣṇa said: "Now, O Pārtha, by this action of rash haste at the wrong time, O tiger among men, I understand that you have not served (consulted) the elders. Indeed, O Dhanañjaya, one who understands the distinctions of natural law (dharma) would not act thus."
