महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-5, verse-93

कच्चिदार्यो विशुद्धात्मा क्षारितश्चौरकर्मणि ।
अदृष्टशास्त्रकुशलैर्न लोभाद्वध्यते शुचिः ॥९३॥
93. kaccidāryo viśuddhātmā kṣāritaścaurakarmaṇi ,
adṛṣṭaśāstrakuśalairna lobhādvadhyate śuciḥ.
93. kaccit āryaḥ viśuddhātmā kṣāritaḥ caurakarmaṇi
adṛṣṭaśāstrakusalaiḥ na lobhāt vadhyate śuciḥ
93. I hope that a noble (ārya), pure (śuci), and pure-souled (ātman) person, even if accused of a crime of theft, is not unjustly executed out of greed by those unskilled in discerning the law (śāstra) and its principles.
