कच्चिद्बलस्य भक्तं च वेतनं च यथोचितम् ।
संप्राप्तकालं दातव्यं ददासि न विकर्षसि ॥३८॥

saṁprāptakālaṁ dātavyaṁ dadāsi na vikarṣasi.

38. I hope you give to the army its food and wages, which are proper and due at the right time, and that you do not delay them.
