महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-5, verse-8

कच्चिदाचरितां पूर्वैर्नरदेव पितामहैः ।
वर्तसे वृत्तिमक्षीणां धर्मार्थसहितां नृषु ॥८॥
8. kaccidācaritāṁ pūrvairnaradeva pitāmahaiḥ ,
vartase vṛttimakṣīṇāṁ dharmārthasahitāṁ nṛṣu.

8. O king, I hope you are upholding among your people that undiminished conduct (vṛtti) which was observed by your forefathers, and which encompasses both natural law (dharma) and material prosperity (artha).
