कच्चिदाभ्यन्तरेभ्यश्च बाह्येभ्यश्च विशां पते ।

58. O lord of the people, do you first protect your own self (ātman) from both internal and external dangers? And do you also protect your subjects from external threats, from mutual strife among themselves, and from dangers posed by your own people (officials/kinsmen)?
