महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-149, verse-98

यदि जम्बुकवाक्यानि निष्फलान्यनृतानि च ।
श्रोष्यथ भ्रष्टविज्ञानास्ततः सर्वे विनङ्क्ष्यथ ॥९८॥
98. yadi jambukavākyāni niṣphalānyanṛtāni ca ,
śroṣyatha bhraṣṭavijñānāstataḥ sarve vinaṅkṣyatha.

śroṣyatha bhraṣṭavijñānāḥ tataḥ sarve vinakṣyatha
98. bhraṣṭavijñānāḥ yadi jambukavākyāni niṣphalāni anṛtāni ca śroṣyatha,
tataḥ sarve vinakṣyatha
98. If you, having lost your discernment, heed the jackal's words, which are both fruitless and untrue, then all of you will surely perish.
