महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-114, verse-84

स पपात महाबाहुर्वसुधामनुनादयन् ।
इन्द्रध्वज इवोत्सृष्टः केतुः सर्वधनुष्मताम् ।
धरणीं नास्पृशच्चापि शरसंघैः समाचितः ॥८४॥

84. sa papāta mahābāhurvasudhāmanunādayan ,
indradhvaja ivotsṛṣṭaḥ ketuḥ sarvadhanuṣmatām ,
dharaṇīṁ nāspṛśaccāpi śarasaṁghaiḥ samācitaḥ.

84. saḥ papāta mahā-bāhuḥ vasudhām
anunādayan indra-dhvajaḥ iva utsṛṣṭaḥ
ketuḥ sarva-dhanuṣmatām dharaṇīm na
aspṛśat ca api śara-saṃghaiḥ samācitaḥ

84. saḥ mahā-bāhuḥ vasudhām anunādayan papāta.
utsṛṣṭaḥ indra-dhvajaḥ iva,
(saḥ) sarva-dhanuṣmatām ketuḥ (āsīt).
śara-saṃghaiḥ samācitaḥ (api),
(saḥ) dharaṇīm na ca aspṛśat api.

84. He, the mighty-armed one, fell, making the earth resound, like a banner of Indra thrown down. Though he was the foremost (ketu) of all bowmen, he did not even touch the ground (dharaṇī), being covered by a multitude of arrows.
