स विशीर्णतनुत्राणः पीडितो बहुभिस्तदा ।

4. Though he (Bhīṣma) had his armor shattered and was afflicted by many (arrows/warriors) then, Gaṅgeya (Bhīṣma) certainly did not feel pain, even as his vital spots were being pierced.
