महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-114, verse-100

धारयिष्ये ततः प्राणानुत्सर्गे नियते सति ।
इत्युक्त्वा तांस्तदा हंसानशेत शरतल्पगः ॥१००॥
100. dhārayiṣye tataḥ prāṇānutsarge niyate sati ,
ityuktvā tāṁstadā haṁsānaśeta śaratalpagaḥ.

iti uktvā tān tadā haṁsān aśeta śaratpalagaḥ
100. tataḥ utsarge niyate sati prāṇān dhārayiṣye

100. Then I shall sustain my vital breaths until the determined moment of their release. Having spoken thus to those sages, he then lay down on a bed of arrows.
