संभ्रमश्च महानासीत्त्रिदशानां विशां पते ।
पतिष्यति रथाद्भीष्मे सर्वलोकप्रिये तदा ॥३९॥

39. And great agitation arose among the gods, O lord of people, then, at the thought that Bhishma, beloved by all beings, would fall from his chariot.
