महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-83, verse-26

तत एव तु गायत्र्याः स्थानं त्रैलोक्यविश्रुतम् ।
त्रिरात्रमुषितस्तत्र गोसहस्रफलं लभेत् ॥२६॥
26. tata eva tu gāyatryāḥ sthānaṁ trailokyaviśrutam ,
trirātramuṣitastatra gosahasraphalaṁ labhet.

26. From that very place, the abode of Gāyatrī, renowned throughout the three worlds, is [accessible]. One who stays there for three nights would obtain the merit of [donating] a thousand cows.
