महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-83, verse-59

प्रदक्षिणमुपावृत्य ज्येष्ठस्थानं व्रजेन्नरः ।
अभिगम्य महादेवं विराजति यथा शशी ॥५९॥
59. pradakṣiṇamupāvṛtya jyeṣṭhasthānaṁ vrajennaraḥ ,
abhigamya mahādevaṁ virājati yathā śaśī.
59. pradakṣiṇam upāvṛtya jyeṣṭhasthānam vrajet
naraḥ abhigamya mahādevam virājati yathā śaśī
59. A person, having performed a circumambulation and returned to the principal shrine, should then approach Mahadeva; then, like the moon, he shines brightly.
