महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-83, verse-15

मतङ्गस्य तु केदारस्तत्रैव कुरुनन्दन ।
तत्र स्नात्वा नरो राजन्गोसहस्रफलं लभेत् ॥१५॥
15. mataṅgasya tu kedārastatraiva kurunandana ,
tatra snātvā naro rājangosahasraphalaṁ labhet.

15. O son of Kuru, O king, right there is indeed the sacred ground of Matanga. A person who bathes there will obtain the merit of donating a thousand cows.
