महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-83, verse-69

तत्र त्रीण्यग्निकुण्डानि येषां मध्ये च जाह्नवी ।
प्रयागादभिनिष्क्रान्ता सर्वतीर्थपुरस्कृता ॥६९॥

69. There are three fire-pits, and amidst them, the Jahnavi (Ganges) river is present, having emerged from Prayaga and being glorified by all sacred pilgrimage sites.
