योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-34, verse-22

अनेनैतत्पदार्थानां वस्तुत्वं प्रतिपाद्यते ।
शुक्लादिगुणवत्त्वं स्वं प्रदीपेनेव वाससाम् ॥ २२ ॥
anenaitatpadārthānāṃ vastutvaṃ pratipādyate ,
śuklādiguṇavattvaṃ svaṃ pradīpeneva vāsasām 22
22. anena etat padārthānām vastutvam pratipādyate
śuklādiguṇavattvam svam pradīpena iva vāsasām
22. anena etat padārthānām vastutvam pratipādyate
iva pradīpena vāsasām svam śuklādiguṇavattvam
22. By means of this (ātman), the substantiality of these objects is established, just as the inherent quality of whiteness, etc., of garments is revealed by a lamp.
