बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-83, verse-32

अथवा कन्यकादानं गोदानं च समाचरेत् ।
एवं कृते पितुः शापान्मुच्यते नाऽत्र संशयः ॥३२॥
32. athavā kanyakādānaṃ godānaṃ ca samācaret .
evaṃ kṛte pituḥ śāpānmucyate nā'tra saṃśayaḥ.
32. athavā kanyakādānam godānam ca samācaret evam
kṛte pituḥ śāpāt mucyate na atra saṃśayaḥ
32. Alternatively, one should perform the ritual of gifting a maiden (dāna) and gifting a cow (dāna). When this is done, one is freed from the curse of the father or ancestors; there is no doubt about this.
