If the significator for children (kāraka, i.e., Jupiter) is conjoined with Rahu, and the lord of the 5th house (putreśa) is devoid of strength, and the lord of the ascendant (lagneśa) is conjoined with Mars (kuja), then there will be a loss of children (sutakṣaya) due to a serpent's curse (sarpaśāpa).
