If Rahu (rāhu) is in the ascendant (lagna), and the Moon (candra) is conjoined with Venus (śukra), Jupiter (ijya), and Saturn (manda), and the lord of the ascendant (lagneśa) is situated in the house of death (mṛtyurāśistha), then the destruction of children (sutakṣayaḥ) occurs due to the curse of a departed spirit (pretaśāpa).
