योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-91, verse-82

यदा न भाव्यते किंचिन्निर्वासनतयात्मनि ।
बालमूकादिविज्ञानमिव च स्थीयते स्थिरम् ॥ ८२ ॥
yadā na bhāvyate kiṃcinnirvāsanatayātmani ,
bālamūkādivijñānamiva ca sthīyate sthiram 82
82. yadā na bhāvyate kiṃcit nirvāsanatayā ātmani
bālamūkādivijñānam iva ca sthīyate sthiram
82. yadā nirvāsanatayā ātmani kiṃcit na bhāvyate,
ca bālamūkādivijñānam iva sthiram sthīyate
82. When nothing whatsoever is contemplated in the self (ātman) due to the absence of latent impressions, and one remains steady, like the consciousness (vijñāna) of a child or a mute person.
