योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-91, verse-25

संविदुच्छूनतां चित्तं विद्धि तेनेदमाततम् ।
अनर्थजालमालूनविशीर्णजनजीवकम् ॥ २५ ॥
saṃviducchūnatāṃ cittaṃ viddhi tenedamātatam ,
anarthajālamālūnaviśīrṇajanajīvakam 25
25. saṃvid ucchūnatām cittam viddhi tena idam ātatam
| anarthajālam ālūnaviśīrṇajanajīvakam ||
25. cittam saṃvid ucchūnatām viddhi tena idam ātatam
anarthajālam ālūnaviśīrṇajanajīvakam [bhavati]
25. Know the mind (citta) to be the expansion of consciousness (saṃvit); by it, this [entire world] is pervaded. It is a net of misfortunes that causes the lives of people to be severed and withered.
