योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-91, verse-27

चित्तोपशान्तिफलदं परमं साम्यकारणम् ।
सुभगं संविदः स्वास्थ्यं प्राणसरोधनं विदुः ॥ २७ ॥
cittopaśāntiphaladaṃ paramaṃ sāmyakāraṇam ,
subhagaṃ saṃvidaḥ svāsthyaṃ prāṇasarodhanaṃ viduḥ 27

saṃvidaḥ svāsthyam prāṇasarodhanam viduḥ ||
27. [te] prāṇasarodhanam cittopaśāntiphaladam,
paramam sāmyakāraṇam,
[ca] subhagam saṃvidaḥ svāsthyam viduḥ
27. They know the restraint of breath (prāṇasurodhana) to be that which grants the fruit of mental peace, the supreme cause of equanimity (sāmya), and the auspicious natural state of consciousness (saṃvit).
