द्वे बीजे राम चित्तस्य प्राणस्पन्दनवासने ।

48. O Rāma, there are two primary seeds of the mind (citta): the pulsation of the vital breath (prāṇa) and latent mental impressions (vāsanā). If one of these two is weakened, both quickly cease to exist.
