महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-4, verse-88

धृतराष्ट्र उवाच ।
हतप्रवीरे सैन्येऽस्मिन्मामके वदतां वर ।
अहताञ्शंस मे सूत येऽत्र जीवन्ति केचन ॥८८॥
88. dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca ,
hatapravīre sainye'sminmāmake vadatāṁ vara ,
ahatāñśaṁsa me sūta ye'tra jīvanti kecana.
88. dhṛtarāṣṭraḥ uvāca hatapravīre sainye asmin māmake
vadatām vara ahatān śaṃsa me sūta ye atra jīvanti kecana
88. dhṛtarāṣṭraḥ uvāca sūta vadatām vara me śaṃsa ahatān
ye kecana atra jīvanti asmin māmake hatapravīre sainye
88. Dhritarashtra said: 'O best among speakers (vara), O charioteer (sūta), tell me about those who are unslain and still live here in this army of mine, in which the chief warriors are slain.'
